The Collection

We made a better washable rug. Made of recycled materials with an extraordinarily comfortable pile, these pieces are not mats: they're the real deal, thick and soft to cushion every step. Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy. Done in calm neutrals, their gentle motifs are carved out in relief, reminiscent of woodcut printing.

The Design

Comb has a chunky geometric pattern which resembles a parade of combs, done in blueish-purplish grays on a cream ground. It's punctuated by shorter stripes of charcoal, and its top and bottom edges are done in a cute, asymmetric mini-checkerboard. These pieces have a cool cast to them, with grays and taupes veering towards faint blues and purples. Their channeled construction is thick and soft, adding lots of cushion to your footfall. The organic, geometric shapes are a reference in part to Anni and Josef Albers' trips to Mexico, where they studied Mayan temples and pre-Columbian art, searching for inspiration among the greats.

The Material

These pieces are made with recycled polyester left over from production companies who manufacture polymers for textiles, medical, and engineering purposes, and which would otherwise end up in a landfill. The polyester runoff is transformed through heat into a soft, sustainable fiber with the look and feel of wool. Our recycled poly is highly durable, shockingly soft, OEKO-TEX certified for safety, mildew-resistant and machine-washable.

The Maker

Our partner in Turkey, began as a small family-owned weaving house over 50 years ago with only two looms. Today, they're recognized as an award-winning leader in weaving technology, even making their own yarn for their various types of textile production.

The Designer

Our in-house, all-star design team works across Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai. Starting with the weave itself, they determine the collection material, technique, and mood. When designs are finalized, they collaborate with the supplier on an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and hue before it goes to production.

Clean regularly with a non-rotary vacuum
Rotate on occasion to ensure even wear over time.
For sizes up to 5’ x 8’, machine wash your rug with like colors on delicate with 1 TBSP of gentle detergent.
For sizes 5’ x 8’ and above, we recommend using a 60-lb washing machine - the large kind you find at a laundromat - rather than a home washing machine, which is usually 20-25 lbs.
For sizes 9’ x 12’ and above, spot clean with a dab of gentle detergent and water
Preferably line dry. Alternatively, tumble dry on no heat or low heat setting.
If your rug is heavily soiled, or if It's tough to find a laundromat, we suggest you dry clean it instead

Change of Address

If you need to change your address, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not contact us within 24 hours of placing your order, no change of address will be possible.

Damages

GentSuit is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Once a claim has been made, please contact us and refer to the Refund Policy for more instructions.

GentSuit is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.). We will do our best to mediate these issues and not surprise you with any unnecessary added costs.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Our return date is 45 days after delivery of the product. If any items you purchased is damaged, not as described you can return them for a refund. Please attach the photos of the item you received to the email which you contact our service team in order to make a return. In this way, we can improve our service quality and fulfill your return request as soon as possible.

If the size and style of the product is provided according to the order details, and the customer also needs exchange service, we will not charge any fee.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Has not been worn
Shows no signs of wear or damage
In its original condition with tags still attached (if any)
In all original packaging (box and pouch included)

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 15 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
